MANS’s observers monitor whether within polling stations illegal records on voters who voted are kept
At many polling stations members of the election committee from the ruling party do not allow MANS’s observers to monitor whether within polling stations illegal records on voters who voted are kept, with an explanation that such instruction they got from the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) in Podgorica.
The observer by MANS who follows the work of the MEC confirmed to us that there was no meeting on which such a decision could be made. Also, from the majority of members of MEC we received confirmation not only that such a meeting was not held, and they are not consulted, but also that they believe that the decision is illegal.
That confirms our suspicion that Srdjan Raicevic completely arbitrarily made the decision and instruction, with no consultations with other members of the Municipal Election Commission, in order to prevent MANS’s observers to continue by their presence to prevent further irregularities at the polling places.
