Announcement of ARTICLE 19 as a support to Vanja Calovic
“ARTICLE 19 is deeply concerned about the smear campaign against Vanja Calovic, a key actor in exposing corruption and organized crime in Montenegro,” said program director of the organization, David Diaz-Jogeix.
For the second time in a few months, Calovic, Executive Director of MANS, is a victim of dirty campaign which aims to compromise her personal and professional integrity. The campaign is conducted by Montenegrin newspaper edition “Informer”.
“The attack on Calovic is an attack on society in Montenegro. The failure of the competent authorities to immediately investigate this attack and to take effective measures will be discouraging to those who want to expose corruption and organized crime, “said Diaz-Jogeix.
