MANS Executive Director Vanja Ćalović will be presented with the Italian Giorgio Ambrosoli Award in Milan on Monday, 15 June. The award is granted under the patronage of the President of the Italian Republic.
Ćalović has been recognized for her integrity, accountability, and professionalism in defending the rule of law, particularly under adverse circumstances and in the face of undue pressure.
The award is named after Giorgio Ambrosoli, an Italian lawyer and symbol of professional courage, who was assassinated in 1979 by a contract killer linked to the mafia because of his efforts to expose their criminal financial activities.

As a result, the award carries strong symbolic significance in Italy as a recognition of the defense of legality, the public interest, and civic resistance to corruption and organized crime.
This award represents international recognition of the long-standing work of Vanja Ćalović and MANS in combating corruption, strengthening institutional accountability, protecting the public interest, and promoting the rule of law in Montenegro.
The event is supported by a number of Italian institutional, cultural, and business organizations, including the City of Milan, the Lombardy Region, the Milan Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Italian Chambers of Commerce, the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia Institute, the Cariplo Foundation, and Confcommercio.
The award ceremony will take place on 15 June in Milan. The program begins at 3:00 PM, while the presentation of the award is scheduled for 4:00 PM and can be followed live via the following link:
