Highway project under the veil of secret

Even the route of the highway that passes through the area of the river Tara, protected by the UNESCO convention as a world natural heritage, is secret. Data on finances, control over the implementation of works, disputes, and even numerous administrative documents of state bodies, which are otherwise public, have been declared secret by the Ministry of Transport.

Experts hired by the Government, within the commissions in charge of reviewing plans and technical inspection, are prohibited from sharing with the public any information they receive as part of their work.
