Two uniformed officers came to MANS’ offices this afternoon at 13:30 to summon MIlovac to give a statement, without giving him a justification. After his insistence to know why he was being summoned to the police, the officers called their colleagues by phone and then informed him that it was because of the plaque left before the Constitutional Court.

MANS and the activists of the Citizen’s Front today again insisted that the Constitutional Court prioritize their initiative – signed by 30,000 citizens and supported by 26 MPs in the Assembly of Montenegro – challenging the new Law on Taxes and the “euro-by-euro” tax. Because of the Constitutional Court’s failure to prioritize this initiative, MANS posted a plaque on the Constitutional Court’s facade that reads “Constitutional Court of the First Family.”

Because the Constitutional Court is ignoring the initiative of 30,000 citizens and 26 MPs, it is obvious that they are protecting the interests of those who made it possible for citizens to pay for the gaps left in the budget that were left by the business partners and friends of the First Family.

Summons to police interrogations, as in the Safet Kalic case, the public action in front of the Government when Vanja Calovic received a violation for violating public  order, as well as traffic violations handed out to the driver of the truck that is used in the Citizens’ Protests are only the most transparent attempts to intimidated and deter MANS from holding to account those who continue to plunder Montenegro’s citizens.
